A recent survey commissioned by the Moore County Airport Authority may prove to be one of the strongest tools going forward as the airport advocates for the return of commercial service.
Favorable results collected earlier this month by Embold Research, a nonpartisan public opinion research company, reflect community support for the return and use of commercial air service at the county’s airport.
In polling 537 voters in Moore County over the weekend of Jan. 9, 79 percent of those responding expressed that they favor bringing commercial service to the airport, with 11 percent opposed and 10 percent unsure. …
Among those who support bringing commercial flights to Moore County Airport, 82 percent said they would be likely to use it, primarily for personal and domestic travel.
